Highway Hope Supplementary School

Highway Hope Supplementary

School is built on the twin platforms of Faith and work, we believe that God is interested in the intellectual development of our staff and students and that he provides the ability to comprehend and learn. We also believe that hard work and diligence towards learning is always rewarded. One other tenet of Highway Hope Supplementary School is that of partnership, we believe that it is the mutual partnership between the school and parents that helps to secure success of our students. Generally, students who do well in their courses have been those whose parents have been well involved in their academic journey, usually working alongside the school to ensure that their child/children commit to learning, complete homework and follow on getting feedback from the school/class teacher

Currently take in students from School year 3 to school year 9. We run program in both private and group arrangements. A private arrangement is a one-to-one class, a teacher to just a students and this is charge at £35 per session. A session is a 2-hour class. The private arrangement is flexible and can be arrange on Saturday between 10am and 6:00pm, or on week days evenings between 5:00pm and 9:00pm. Group arrangements on the other hand will have a teacher to a number of students in a class. Group arrangement holds every Saturday during school term and is charged at £40 per month plus an initial registration fee of £10. The class time for the different school years varies. Below is a table showing the class time for the different school years

With the exception of school year 7, year 8 and year 9, all our classes our classes are available both as In-Person classes or Virtual classes. Parents can opt for either option when completing our registration form. Our virtual class uses Zoom platforms for delivering live classes and Goggle classroom for uploading classwork, homework, and giving feedback.

We use books and materials in line with the national curriculum for all our school years. Recommended books are use in preparing the classwork and homework schedules for the students, this makes following our program on a week by week basis an easy task for parents, students and tutors. Some of our teachers are professional teachers, others graduate in various discipline but who enjoy teaching on a part time basis. We also have brilliant undergraduate students and college and High school students volunteering in various capacities. All staff receive in-house training before being allowed to engage with our students and parents of our students. Child safeguarding is very important to us and we ensure all staff are aware about the safety of our students whether they are studying In-Person or Virtually.
